NAR 2015 GTI MIB1 to MIB2 conversion problem----microphone no sound----need help!

Hi all,

I know there's a master thread about MIB2 retrofitting but maybe a new thread can catch more eyes...
I just upgraded my infotainment unit from MIB1 to MIB2, everything works fine except for two problems:

1) Microphone is entirely off. I tried to call my friends through Carplay and BT, but they could not hear me.

What I tried:
I have VCDS software and I checked the 5F module, everything seems fine??? (the long coding bit for the microphone, the box is checked)
Also, I tried to flip the pin 1 and 7 on the head unit quadlock, as shown below since I believe the pin 1 and 7 are for mic from this thread: https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/bluetooth-microphone-not-working.9426707/
But nothing happens really...


2) The screen cannot light up when I start the car, and I have to do something to "trigger" the headunit, like push the eject button on the head unit, insert an SD card/CD, and then the "Welcome to Volkswagen " starts. Here's a video:

completely have no thoughts on this one...
