How can you run Stage 2 without a CEL on a stock downpipe?
They could gut the first catalytic converter.... I have seen that done to MK5s.... its the stock 2.25 in downpipe and then they weld a straight pipe in place of the second catalytic converter.... highly doubt they would do that to a new-ish MK7 when you can easily buy a cheap ebay downpipe.....

That's a $250 discount. I had to fight with my dealer for the second fob. I wound up disputing $300 on the charge I used for the down payment. I told them that's what I was going to do. No repercussions.
Yeah, same here, they ended up calling my local dealer to quote them a price to buy a new key and reprogram it and then gave me a check for that amount so i could go there and do it later... You definitely should protest, especially if its a CPO, it has to come with 2 keys.

maybe he had it specifically tuned to not have a cel for a stock dp, it could be anything.

That means you haven't been locking your car or thought you locked it or the battery in the key fob you found was dead. You can't lock the car when there's a key fob inside the car that has a battery that's okay.
