I´m with a problem with the DSG. At the end of track days, my DSG started to bounce (when moving the lever from to D or R, or during 1 to 2 or 2 to 1 gear changes). After a couple of days running the car, it returned to normal operation, but the next track days the same problem happened again, until one track when the problem persists and the gearbox did not stop bouncing.

I replaced the 2 solenoids that control the clutch, but it did not solve, so I replaced the mechatronics and the clutches for new ones.

Last weekend I did the first track day with the new parts, and, at the end of the day, the DSG started do bounce again... after some minutes, it stopped to bounce and is working properly. My concern is if after some more track days I'll have the same problem that costed me a lot of money...

I suppose this problem is caused due to high gear oil temperature at the track.

Do you have this kind of problem or know someone tracking a Gti that had similar problem?

why is your DD set the performance wheels and the track set the OEMs? other than the performance wheels looking a helluva lot nicer :D

^ probably because he expects the track wheels will get beat up after all the tire swaps. (Also track driving is tough on wheels in general - lots of opportunity for chipping)

Fancy wheels are for looking good on the street. (I do the same with the fancy wheels vs OEM wheels on my motorcycle - OEM for track)

Yea but I mean if you’re tracking a lot might as well get a lighter, wider wheel. The stock wheels are like 25lbs and 7.5” wide. Makes a huge difference going to something lighter with room for more tire.

I bought 2 sets of RE71R's, one for street, one for track.
