Filled the car up last night, so will give you all the true mpg figure once empty. So far based on the onboard computer its showing 5-10mpg better since the map.

Had a play with a 911 today, on the motorway. The driver looked shocked :p

Really impressed with the car. It really is a sleeper :D

Yeah picked up his email tonight. I'm so tempted but the dtuk experience is making me think twice.

Please don't compare a remap to a tuning box.

Read my posts above. Drives 100% as standard apart from the extra shove of torque :D:D.

I have not looked back.

11 days since the remap, and I can report back the car still feels every bit as good as day 1. Mpg has gone up 5-10 mpg. Will confirm 100% when I next fill up.

My GTD, got its yearly detail on Friday, so now does it not only look good it. It also flys :D.

Had my first taste of very heavy rain am today, and not once did it feel out of control. Very easy to get the power down.

Seriously impressed guys.

On the look out for more performance cars to play. Or should that be shock :eek:. Now I have my sleeper & w end toy, let the fun begin!!.

Putting the increase in power to one side for a moment, if Nick can squeeze extra MPG with a re map why don't VW do it as standard? Surely VW wouldn't over look such an obvious selling point.

wondering about warranty on this.

I know some have said that it has not been mentioned on normal servicing, but if something went catastrophically wrong and one broke something in the engine or drivetrain . Even if it was in no way in connection with a new map.

Surely they would have a look at the ECU first and invalidate your warranty.
With a smile on their faces as well.

They have a dealer in Nottingham too, if Cheshire is too far and you don't want to pay for mileage.

In worse case scenario that the engine/drive train has warranty issues then you'd have to re-flash via OBD before making the dealer call for support...

Mines having the Carbon treatment next week....

I'm deeply curious about MPG. If you want to go faster - you use more fuel, that's a truth as far as I am aware. I wonder if in normal driving conditions the remap is such that there's an improvement there. I do understand engines have leeways and tolerances. I would have thought no matter what someone does - if you exploit the full power - it's going to use more fuel.

Ref mpg, Nick had said there mpg remained the same after the map & there guy drives it hard all the time. He gets between 45-55 mpg. Which is amazing with the performance.

Mine will be a mixture of taking my time & giving it the occasional blast on the motorway & at the w end. Mine has never gone above 48 mpg. I'm hoping for 53-58 mpg. 5-10 mpg increase that I'm currently seeing.

I should of recorded my mpg. The other day, the computer was showing 69 mpg:cool:. I have never seen the mpg show that high.
