Are these the same as the badgeskin ones? Was thinking about ordering a set today.

Anyone have a promo code for badgeskins? If not, I'll just wait until black friday.

Didn't realize how much I hate those until I saw how much I love this.

Yep. Badgeskins dude took these from here and sells them printed. Never asked permission to do it either AFAIK.

I searched the internet to have these printed and many shops won't print them unless you do a minimum print run of like 200 or so. But I was able to have these printed by Matt Fishler, the owner of MotoGFX (matt@motogfx.com) and the total cost was $30 for the pair. Total time from printing to arriving by mail was four business days. Done! I don't have any affiliation with Matt, but wanted to pass along his info in case anyone wants to make a pair of these for themselves. He likely has my exact same artwork still on-file if you want the exact same design printed, but if not, check later down in the thread for PDF links.

I emailed Matt today at 3:26 PM. At 3:27 PM I had a response. Ordered a pair of the above and got another email that they'll be going out on Monday. Crazy good customer service.

Thanks to Oakland for putting these together and letting everyone use them.

Obligatory: "My name is Mike, and I have OCD" (crowd): *Hi Mike*

I hate the airbag warning labels on the visors of my Mk7. They're very bold and distracting. I've seen numerous reports on how to remove these, but those solutions sure didn't look like they'd work for the mk7.
Unlike those from previous GTIs, the Mk7 appears that these airbag warnings are screen printed onto the visors themselves, and not really labels you can remove by soaking them with rubbing alcohol (as suggested by other fix attempts.) I also saw that some people tried this and were left with a sloppy mess, so I didn't want to go this route.

Plus, I'm lazy cheap, and don't want to disconnect things.
And since I'm very experienced with Adobe Illustrator, I just designed my own visor stickers/decals to cover them up that are made to look semi-OEM by design.

So here's the annoying labels I detest:

So I fired up Adobe Illustrator and created some vector art for a label that would universally look nice (hopefully) with the red GTI accents of the car. I designed this:

Then simply stuck them on over the annoying labels:

The photo doesn't' really do it justice, and makes the label stand out a bit more than it does in person, since the material itself catches the light differently in a photograph. In person it's even more "seamless" since the area itself is dark and it blends really well.

I'm really happy with the outcome, and it's far less distracting in my peripheral vision than the black/yellow warning labels.

EDIT: FEEL FREE TO DOWNLOAD THESE IF YOU LIKE THEM:

Some requested labels for the R and some requested them in different colors. It's really easy for me to adjust, so below are the variations in red, white and black. Feel free to download the one you like.

The sample images contain the little white guides are the corners for cutting. The final files do NOT need these. It's just a visual guide to show you how they look as a preview.

Does anyone have the vector file or the PDF with the image on a gray background? I have a European Golf 1.4 TSI R Line with the sunvisors in light gray and it is impossible for me to change the color. Thank you

Hi @OaklandGTI,
So thankful for your inputs!
I have a VW GTE, and I would like to have a GTE logo on the design. I also work a bit with PS and Ill. So would you mind sending me the source file so I can create it for GTE riders?
So thankful for your help!
