MT Clutch Replacement After Only 12,500 miles

Clutch is slipping pretty severely in a fairly new 2019 GTI. It was my fiancée's first stick shift and I think she burned it while learning to drive. She's much better now so it's worth replacing.

Obviously dealer won't cover it and is charging $2950 before taxes to replace it as well as the pressure plate and flywheel. Comes out to about $1,600 in parts and $1,400 in labor. Any recommendation or experience replacing it with an after market kit? Does the dealer's pricing seem fair and is the premium worth keeping the warranty?

That's pretty expensive. I charge 600 labor for clutch installs. Check out the rsr clutch, maintains a very oem feel but handles power better.
