Yes, headlights set to auto. Dashboard brightness set to high. When adjusting dashboard brightness down, radio goes even more dim. It is definitiely in the nighttime dim mode.

If you have diagnostic tools like OBDeleven or VCDS, connect with the car, select module 5F, go to adaptation and check channels: Dimming Illumination for Display Unit, P HMI Display, P damping Display

What is "Dynamic Light Assist memory"? I retrofitted DLA in my NAR MK7 R. Just curious what that Coding change would result in?

DLA will stay on/ready after cycling the ignition.

Ah! This is the same as maintaining High Beam Assist (HBA) on after ignition cycle here in North America. I had that enabled before my DLA retrofit and completely forgot that the car didn't come with that coded with being always on. Thanks!

nah. hard to source used ones, and new ones are too expensive. This mod is on hold.
