Would be a perfect upgrade to mk7 brakes and looks like they clear 18 wheels without spacers

You realize this plays out at every generation change. Go back to late 2014 and read the Mk6 forum. Or look at Vortex about the Mk6 from Mk5 owners. Even more amusing, go look at C7 owners talk about the C8 Corvette. It's all gonna be fine.
