Is there a consolidated MPI thread? I'd like more information on it as a whole (I don't know anything about it).
There are a couple, not sure how active they are anymore. I've got an OEM+ kit for MPI that can be sourced for around 650ish with a China repop euro manifold. OEM mani is 800ish.

https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/mpi-information-thread.373065/

Some of the links are dead, and honestly I'd just buy the rail hardware from Eacca as listed at the bottom.
For manifold a OEM new Manifold is $270ish, China repop is 120ish. Only thing is with the China manifolds you might need to swap your stock flap sensor and diaphragm over. I might be offering kits, just hard to judge if there is a market for OEM + MPI w/ Manifold. Cost wise it's around the Billet MPI kit costs without a Manifold, so not sure what the market would do.
Tee I used - $14:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EKUF7O4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

China Manifold, went up in price, it's $89-125 now. 7 day shipping for free
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804641034432.html

Hose I used, e85+ rated 3.75 a foot, I bought 10 feet - $37.50:

https://www.anhosefittings.com/viton-fkm-push-lock-j30-r9-fuel-hose-5-16-id.html

Hose clamps w/ Tool, For the above hose they recommend the 15.3mm ear clamps:

https://www.anhosefittings.com/single-ear-oetiker-hose-clamp-tool-kit.html

980/925cc Injectors, Use First15 code on first order for additional 15% off- $40.50 per: Code expired, its First10 now for 10% off. You'll see the offer on the cars245.com homepage.

https://cars245.com/en/item/bosch-0280158040-injector/

Rail China New $160: Comes with 125cc injectors, still need above injectors

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1843082438...uid=K3_3EBMWTk-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

China Rail/Manifold New - $275: Went up, its almost 350-400 now, not worth it as you can self source by parts cheaper.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2039335991...uid=K3_3EBMWTk-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

M6 bolts if buying rail used or without:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012T9NG0K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Part numbers to self source from ebay or other:

Manifold:

06L133201N / 06L133201AH

Fuel Rail – Make sure it includes the sensor installed, or with sensor, brass seat and horseshoe clip, along with Injector clips, otherwise all these will need to be sourced separately and are more expensive this way:

06k133681a/06k133681b/06k133681c/06k133681d

So thats the list. You can still do it cheaper if you want to self source the rail and pieces from China-
Fuel rail ~$35
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2039514388...uid=K3_3EBMWTk-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Buy these guys off e-acca It'll be the cheapest I've found:
Bosch low pressure fuel sensor - 0261230414 ~$25
Brass adapter for fuel rail - 06K127813 ~$5
Injector clip - 06L906037 ~$2 Per
Fuel sensor retaining clip - 06K133047 ~$1
N 105 821 02 is the fuel rail bolts

So how much of a pain in the dick is it to get that rear vent trim off to install the rear USB chargers? How much other shit do I have to take off to get to it?

I have learnt that getting the trim off is the extremely easy part of the equation...

Great video from @mr-fix on the job. I don't feel like doing this today lol.

Strange question, but do you guys do this retrofit so you have extra USB chargers, or do you actually have rear passengers?

No one has ever sat in the backseat of my car.

I have an 8 year old daughter who sits in my rear seats, and while not necessary, the rear USB ports would be nice for road trips and whatnot.

This. Having to keep an adapter around and deal with running it from the center console to the back is a pain in the ass when you’re driving. Having the ports back there you can just throw the cable over your shoulder, yell “figure it out” and keep racecaring.

Any company make a "nice" turbo inlet pipe/hose combo? I have a Racing Line TIP and a no name turbo hose; every time I take it off/put back on I feel like Im guessing where to tighten the clamp since the hose just kinda covers the whole thing. MST makes a nice one, and Blaze Performance makes a 4" one but does not ship to the US. EQT sells it as a complete intake but I aint paying 600 for an in-take.

What intake are you mating up to? Using 034's tip/hose and it's fine, one of the cheaper bundles when I bought it. If you want some bling, there's the APR TIP + carbon fiber hose. Both of those are intended for a stock-sized intake box outlet.

I had the MST setup before going DTR turbo – zero complaints before I parted with it.

Honestly my Ebay/amazon TIP and elbow have been great.

Check out ARM too, they have 2-3 intakes for the MK7 now I think. Silicone, 4" metal I believe and one more? Pretty well priced too. I'd use them, but need a CARB EO number, so modified stock airbox for me.

APR PEX. No issue on that end, just the TIP/silicone hose connection. I feel like only the edge of the TIP makes contact. Like putting a rubber band at the top of a loose sock. I want it to fit “like a glove”.

Not an issue, but if it were a box with a larger outlet you'd need to measure and do more research. I know the 034 tip/hose fits the PEX just fine on my car, if that's helpful.
