I'm not convinced it does anything (but I believe it does) however it is simple/cheap enough that I do one every few months. I admit to driving in commute speed most of the time which makes me think I it's a good idea for me as I only tend to push car 1x week.

Thanks for the link, I didn't realize there is somewhat of a method to it. I only have a 3 mile drive to work and live about the same distance from most places I go in town. Every 2 weeks or so I drive hard up and down a nearby country road but will probably try this next time.

The origin of the Italian tune up really harkens back to the days of multiple carburetors. Rather than spending hours trying to get them back into sync, the first step often was to blow out the carbon.

Part of that was to rev the engine and dribble water into the carburetors.

Power pulley kit - says it has hp gain, is that from the weight loss or is it a different pulley size?

In reality I'd like to see an improvement in ac than up.

"hp gain, is that from the weight loss or is it a different pulley size?"..... It's from lying. Total draw on an alternator/ac unit looks to be around 8-10 hp total at full load, so their "5-7 horsepower gain" seems to be total BS.

I have a 2019 gti autobahn I got back in March. It has 5,700mi on it and I got a CEL one night on a cold start. Code was P13EA. Wondering if anyone can share insights as to what it could be just for my own knowledge. Under warranty so it's going in to the dealer this week, curious if anyone else has had this happen at such low mileage.

Looks like an off idle code:
Difference between commanded
spark timing vs. actual value >
40%

Haven't seen the code myself, curious to see what you find. Some quick googling looks like possible poor fuel quality?

If you only got it one time I wouldn't be concerned.

this just happened and as a result I haven't driven the car more than a few miles.i have started the car to move it and the light continues to stay on. 4 days now

If you can't clear the CEL you can get an auto parts store to clear it for free.
