Has anyone tried the Koni STR.T (orange) on the MK7? There is TONS of info and reviews on the Yellows and the SAs, but basically nothing on the Orange.
I haven't tried them on the mk7, but I had them on my Mazda3 AX car. While comfortable enough, I felt they lacked quite a bit where the yellows made a huge improvement. It may be different with this platform, but if I knew then what I know now I would have just gotten yellows off the bat.

I will also say the ST XAs at half firm and a taller/closer to stock ride height are incredibly comfortable.

I run the STR.T kit (Koni Orange & Eibach) on my 135, and would say they are comfy on the street, but nothing for track or autox. Also pay attention to the drop, is really too much for the 135 and took forever to get the bump stops just right.

They're an easy option, perhaps not the best one however...

Should I see a significant drop in MPG after switching from MPAS4 to PS4's?

Ever since I switched to the PS4S (summer tire) from the MPSAS4 (All season) my MPG has dropped by at least 4-5 MPG. This is to be expected because of physics/friction, right?
No you shouldn't - there should be no noticeable difference.

Same size tire?
Properly Inflated?

Up to 16%?? thats pretty hefty if the rotational mass is the same
More rolling resistance (lower treadwear rating) AND higher tread height? Sure. How many miles on the all seasons? Technically you would get better mileage with less tread height, so if you’re going from something higher TW with 5/32 tread to 200tw and 10/32 - well, yeah - you’re taking a hit on your mileage.

Treadwear rating and tread pattern can definitely impact fuel economy.

Not by the amount he is quoting.

I'm still waiting for the answers to tire sizes - I'd bet they're not the same.

Anyone running the ECS SAI breather kit? I am looking at that one because it includes a mounting bracket. I also looked at offerings from Unitronic and APR, but the ECS version is the only one I saw that has a bracket that locates the breather where it will clear aftermarket intakes, like I know a lot of us have. Feedback or input if you are running one would be much appreciated.

That mpg drop is too significant for just switching tires. Going from winters to extreme contact sport i think the mpg diff was about 1.8ish

If I go any lower, I'm back on air........not that I haven't thought about it again.....
having run every level of low.....from springs, to coilovers and air ride.....I'm now thinking I want to lift it.....tired of avoiding crap in the roads and having to side-entry every driveway/entrance. Looking at the B2Bfab lift kit....dropping to 17" and adding some AT tires lol

I feel it in the soul, I've decided for the next half hour or so that I'm going IS38 and E, but without a doubt later tonight I'll be eying up a Vortex. I like the indecision though, because it forces me to research every option and then I wind up knowing more than I would've otherwise.

But per your original question... I'd just assume somebody's ducking with you in a fairly benign way.
