If they are real carbon fiber take them out, wet sand with 1500 and clear coat them with 2k clear. Give them a month to "gas out", sometimes not necessary, but just in case. After that coat them with ceramic to protect from UV. A lot of times cheap manufacturers don't clear coat their products, carbon fiber (or any "glass" product) epoxy is not UV resistant at all.

If they are fake carbon, toss them in the trash and get real ones.
or just get new ones for ~$20, give them a coat of some UV protectant, and see how they hold up. Real CF isn't worth the money for what's already a lightweight part, and they just look neat. I did them because I wanted to copy the Rabbit Edition.

Sadly they are a abs plastic, wrapped in cf. They were not real expensive but I am thinking get real ones because my hood and fenders are real. Hunting around to see who has a good deal.

Random question (kind of, as Im working on a harness bar solution) - Does anyone have the Autopower roll bar and if so, do you have any installed pics you can share? I have a Braum harness bar but I can't do track events with it. Probably why it is still sitting in the box.

Any questions let me know. I'm confident it would pass tech anywhere in the US if they take 4-point bars.

you also probably aren't making as much torque with your bare hands on the mount as the engine is, I'm gonna vote leave it alone. It'll likely articulate once vibration and whatnot wears things down a little.
That's how I was leaning too, I just wanted to see if this was out of the ordinary. The old one has no tension whatsoever; it bends just from gravity. Maybe that just means it's completely shot.

Does anyone know if the LP equipped GTI's headlights only work if both assemblies are connected? I tried connecting my new driver side assembly and swapped over dry headlight modules into it (the originals were wet) and all I got was the DRL to light up. Mentioned previously, I ordered new units to replace those modules that got wet. I was thinking swapping over dry units would allow the headlight to come on.

Does this look normal? It's an overcast day so it's not catching the sun light.

Should I see a significant drop in MPG after switching from MPAS4 to PS4's?

Ever since I switched to the PS4S (summer tire) from the MPSAS4 (All season) my MPG has dropped by at least 4-5 MPG. This is to be expected because of physics/friction, right?

i get 3-4mpg worse on my winter tires than my all seasons. normal. especially if you haven't re-inflated them.
