Scenario:
GTI Autobahn — I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger on an expensive purchase. If you had a chance to replace your seats, would you choose real leather, "leather," or "leather" with a suede insert? I'm leaning toward ruling out real leather for sake of continuity in existing materials.

Bat signal to @Track R but all input welcome.

I went with the ambla leather/black suede Euro PP ABE since NA only gets the red suede, but I do regret not getting my PP in velour.

What seat brand/model do you plan on going with?

Exactly what you have. Just hung up on the material. What about the velour would be better?

Last time I had a recaro SPG was probably 16 years ago so it's not a fresh memory to relate.

if your keeping your full interior and just want better bolstered seats go with ambia/diamica

Hey guys

Any difference between GTI and GOLF R intake manifold? Golf R costs almost double. Is it safe to run the GTI mani on the R? .. or do we have an SAI issue like everything else

According to SSP 606. There SHOULD be no (no guarantee) difference between PC2 (2.0TSI up to around 240-250HP) and PC3 (280HP+) intake manifold. There is difference Between PC1 (1.8TSI) and PC2/PC3 (2.0TSI) engines. There is different shape of intake manifold runner.

Changed my plugs today, about 10,000 miles since last change. 2017 is GIAC Stage 2 with IS20. RS7 plugs and OE red top coils. Gapped to .026. They look a little burnt to me, but otherwise fine. Cylinder 1 (far left) is a little weird compared to the others. Thoughts?

My goal is 390 - 420 WHP on stock downpipe and 93. What turbo and fueling should I go with? Chasing WHP any higher than that is not worth it to me. We don't have ethanol 🍿 around here.

APR DTR? Mamba 2867R? Assuming MPI and LPFP route is best for me, but unsure which LPFP best suits my goal.

I plan to acquire parts over the next 6 months to do the swap next spring. At this point I can park it for weeks or months without issue because Thankfully I get around on foot almost everywhere daily pretty easily. I've put ~5k miles on it the past year when I previously averaged 15k miles yearly. Best part is, the hunnie believes her Tezzler is a total appliance and is on board with me doing a turbo and supporting mods.
