I broke this trim piece on my 19 GTI from center punching a cone a little over a month or so ago.

Is it part of the entire lower grille or is it a separate piece? Anyone able to provide a part number?

It's all one piece. I broke that section and had to replace the entire front grille. It's super fun.

Part # is 5GM853677G9B9

If I'm replacing a brake caliper (rear driver) what other hardware should I replace?
the whole caliper? Might as well look at pad/rotor wear and if you wanted to swap brake lines......halfway there

Front Endlink replacement time?

At a stop in park….. moving steering wheel back and forth a little bit….what would it sound like?

I’m hearing movement I’m just not sure I should be
thoughts?

How are your strut mounts/how old are they? What kind of movement are you hearing/what sound are you hearing?

dead stop. moving wheel ever so slightly back and forth and it's not clunking per se, but guess I never paid attention to how loud you hear it? may have to record it. Strut mounts replaced when I installed my FA coilovers, 29k miles ago

Interesting. I had a bit of a noise when I installed a NOS (relatively) top hat/bearing that went away with a little spray lithium grease, but if it's a clunk/noise I'd say look for witness marks on anything, and maybe check the torque of things. Is it possible the spring is binding up a little? Do you have any noise when driving the front end over a bump? Yet another use for the glorious 2x4 ;) if it were end links I think you'd hear a clunk over bumps too, turning the wheel at a stop I think maybe noise from the tire 'grinding' on the pavement is a possibility, though unlikely.

Our old Atlas had the same symptoms and it was a bad steering rack.

No noise going over bumps or any other time while driving or stopped. Was waiting for the Family to get out of the store and probably overthinking this lol

You stop that

I can tell you that my endlink bushing is toast after the big clunk issue was resolved, it sounds like lots of little wiggling squeaks when the suspension sides are doing different things. Your observations don't track with my recent endlink experiences. My relatively uninformed intuition said if not springs related then steering rack

Broken end link won't sound like anything, the car will just understeer and have more roll when turning hard.

Worn end link (especially spherical types) you can hear a grinding from the outside when it loads up or you're turning near max lock. You can also hear a metallic or sound deadened "popping" over small quick bumps like from manhole covers. The steering in electric steer cars is just way too numb to really detect a worn or failing endlink before it gets to really faulty or broken.

Best way to test is to get under the car, loosen one up and try to violently move it around. It should have smooth action with zero play.

If you have noticeable grinding or metallic sliding noise all the time when turning the steering wheel it could be the strut bearing.
