priusNot sure I want NVH from BFI stage 1 mounts.....
Recommendations?
I believe they order them as-needed, is 4% bonus cashback worth a brief wait? Usually they're pretty quick in my experience. Though I will say the XAs are nice, if you want camber adjustment without doing stuff at the control arm side you're gonna need some flavor of aftermarket top hatsOut of stock- they have the XA's but I need the mounts.

Def worth the wait, I love saving money lol. I went back and looked and it said they could be delivered like June 8th. I think these are the ticket since they have KW DNA without the price. Calling people who have been discussing suspension @GoatAutomotive @DerHase @Track R
How should I go about upgrading my LCA's if I don't have access to a press?
My wants/needs are 80k suspension refresh, nothing fancy regarding caster and camber. I don't do enough turning to warrant an advanced setup.Make friends with somebody who has a press.
Or buy one for $200 if you have the space. Super useful to have.
You can USUALLY go to any auto shop and just bring the control arms and bushing with you and have them press them in... but that also requires them not being complete morons and fucking anything up. They'll probably charge you a flat half hour or hour of labor if I had to guess.
Otherwise IMO the easy option would be just buying a pair of MK8 control arms.

They have tiny voids which allow needed flex for the suspension to cycle... but they're nowhere near as large as the MK7 stuff was so they're not soft and loose like MK7 stock stuff. I've torn up 2 sets of BFI bushings in a little over a year, and destroyed a set of Whiteline spherical-in-poly bushings at a single autocross (they're garbage).
OEM stuff is the way to go if you want noise and maintenance free. If you buy the loose bushings, keep in mind there SEEMS to be a small and a large void. Smaller void goes to the outside to prevent as much deflection under braking/cornering.
No idea what @GoatAutomotive 's problem was with his 81A-407-183 RS3 bushings not fitting. I pressed a set of those into some OEM MK7 LCAs for @Rmcnelly which will be getting bolted onto his car this weekend.
Not sure what your wants/needs are... but if you want added caster or camber or anything, you'll need to choose something else. Unfortunately all the options for this car are trash or questionable. The 034 arms seem nice to add camber and bit of caster, but no firsthand experience. They're tempting, but not pay near $500 kind of tempting to me. I just want to know if they have standard/OEM size bushing bores so they could be converted to JXB sphericals easily or not. Otherwise if I ever do buy them, it'll probably be with intentions to get some stuff custom machined to do exactly that.

Pressing them in myself is obviously thrifty but I have no workshop space. Maybe I can sweet talk @Acadia18 into getting a new tool?
Reuse hardware? In that case just buy the pair of LCAs from the link above. Should be $250-260ish for both sides, ready to install. Also means new forward bushing too (which is a bitch to change out for new rubber without damaging).
Minimal downtime, not crazy $$.
Then sell your old arms to recoup some costs.
No.Reuse hardware?
No, as krs said.Reuse hardware?
No, as krs said.

Double check all numbers apply to your specific car, but that should be a good start to compiling a list you need.
