From what I understood is that a bit of grease always comes out like that? I did as he said lol, cleaned it and will check it out again in a few months.... Ill need to do the haldex in a few months, so I will also ask my indy shop then....

Is yours like that too? coming out of the axle itself where it joins the transmission case, not from the cv boot? I have had a CV boot tear and leak grease everywhere but never this way....
My issue is described best in these pictures, while up on a lift during oil change. One of the bolts isn't fully tightened. Back in about Sept 2021, I replaced my front wheel bearings, so the loose bolt might be a result of poor worksmanship.

How bad does this look in terms of urgency to fix?

Is it normal for there to be more soot after installing an upgraded turbo? I have way more soot on the back of my car than I ever did on stage 1 or 2.
I don't know the answer but I'm reviving your question in the hope someone with more knowledge answers and I can learn some more shit. Did you change your tune?

No answer yet, I’m not super concerned about it since I have a custom tune and everything looked good in the logs.

I haven't upgraded my turbo but I remember soot being the worst when the car (and turbo) was brand new so it might be related? At the time it seemed like it got better after I got a muffler delete but in hindsight maybe it was just the turbo getting fully broken in

Stupid question: just about every site i've looked at says NGK 95125 Ruthenium HX plugs are NOT compatible with a 2020 GTI. Why? They only support up to a 2018 according to Rock Auto and others.

The OEM plugs are part # 06K905601K (iridium?). VW's website recommends the previous revision 06K905601D (platinum?) for the 2018 GTI. But when i put in the 06K905601K plug for the 2018 it says they are fine.

i can't assert transitivity in spark plugs, but it kind of seems if a 2018 can take the ruthenium plug or a 06K905601D or a 06K905601K and a 2020 takes a 06K905601K...

Same motor. Same plugs work.

Thanks. That's what my brain told me, but when i see that red banner saying not compatible i sometimes second guess.
Better stupid question: i don't need to change my plugs for three more years, why am i wasting my time looking something like this up???

Might change the shift points to be higher to take advantage of the bigger turbo - pretty sure EQT has a different tune for bigger turbos

I have the EQT stage 3 DSG tune, and I noticed a big difference in shift points compared to the regular DSG tune. It seems like it down shifts more aggressively to make up for the loss of low end torque. It matches very well with the Vortex turbo and tune from them.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Needed confirmation to get the DSG tune associated with my soon to be BT. I assumed as much, but wanted some first hand experience. Really appreciate the quick feedback!

One more

This was Strats reply to me:
“Hi Scott, for the PMAX, it behaves very similarly to stock turbo in terms of powerband so we haven’t seen a big need to change the shift points. During the tuning process we may move the forced upshift a little in the top end but the IS38 and PMAX will have very similar optimal shift points.”
