Stupid question time! How do I determine what my optimal tire pressure should be after upgrading wheels / tires? Upgraded to 18x8.5 wheels, 235/40/18 tires. Street driving.

Generally same sidewall as stock tires, same pressure. Since 235/40s have slightly taller sidewalls, you can air down 1 or 2 PSI from the door card.

There is a thread that details how to remove it, only I can't remember what it is called. Maybe google search "golfmk7 armrest trim removal". In fact I'm gonna beat you to it, because I don't think that will get the right thread.

Edit: This was all I found, searched golfmk7 armrest rattle.

Does anyone know how long the stock cat-back is for the mk7?
Also, is it one solid piece?

Thanks

Pretty fkn long. Yes it is one piece. Goes from right behind the front wheelbase to the tips

Damn, thank you.

Reason why I'm asking is because I want to buy and install a Borla but don't know if i have the space to store the old exhaust.

Maybe you have to cut it somewhere behind the resonator. These two pieces you should be able to handle them by yourself.

Later you could buy an VW exhaust clamp to put them back together.

Just my thoughts...

This is correct. I have to find a way to store my stock catback and get it out of my dad's barn so I may just cut it before the muffler. This is how you would install a clubsport S muffler. Cut the pipe, then use an OEM clamp to attach them together

Yea, thank you.

It looks like thats the only way when you don't have space.
And I believe I found the proper clamp on ShopDAP...

Dude I’m baffled and feel fully incompetent...

Can someone share a photo/quick how too on how to rethread/reassemble the safety catch for the front tow hook cover?

Mine was in one piece when I took out the cover (put it back on recently). I could be wrong, but I don't think it's supposed to detach like that.

Sweet! Thank you- this was the first time it’s been off. It seems a little unfinished on the non-barbed end. I hadn’t seen it to know of it was broken or just a cheap, mass produced component. I’ll have to have a chat with the dealership
