Testing a new map 6 last night Lead to some post shift corrections again and some misfires on cyl 3 and cylinder deactivation.

Pulled the plugs to check them. NGK RS7 plugs gapped to .024 with about 5k on them. 2 and 4 opened up slightly to .025/26ish. 4 was wet with a little oil when I went to pull it. 1 had a little oil on the threads. Fun stuff.

Put em back in or gap my Ruth's to .024 and toss them in?

No plug will overcome oil on the groundstrap. Won’t matter what you put in.
So nothing I can really do but have the cam seal replaced? Head or whatever it's called on our engine.

Misfires only happen post shift with the boost turned up over the base flash.

Sounds like a fuel pressure issue but you need a reseal eventually. What do the logs show?
Timing goes weird and so does AFR. Looks like maybe injectors cut? Didn't have the issue with 2 gallons of E85 in the tank with 91 on the 2nd map six. Now running an e15 blend with 1 gallon. So not sure if it's fuel quality.

This is IE stage 1 91 with jb4 map 6 stacked. Working with Zumble on it.

6000 3 30

7000 1 40

All bits off, Tmap set to 1, all other settings 0ed.

First pull went great, the next 2 both threw EPCs for Misfire and cylinder deactivation on shift. Tried turning 5500 down to 3, EPC and a check engine light. Misfire 3 and deactivation again. Put it back to the last good settings and ran 3 pulls, No errors.

1st Pull new settings:

Next two EPCed out on shift. There is a weird Boost spike before shift in the 2nd log, timing also jumps around the spike. Trims drop to 17 right before but recover to 20+ shortly after and before the boost spike, AFRS rich or injectors cut right before shift. Log runs log, was dealing with the EPC before I cut the log. 3rd looks similar other than Ign 2 and 4 corrections spiking before shift when everything goes weird.

Last good settings that worked great with 2 gallons of e85. These logs are with 1 gallon. I can share logs of the 2 gallon runs though if you like.

Map 6 for reference:

1: Felt kinda off, got post shift corrections

Should also note I just installed BFI stage 1 mounts, a powerflex diesel insert, and TIP and inlet hose between the last 2 gallon e runs and this 1 gallon test.

Mounts have about 160 miles an 6 heat cycle. They are more tame, reverse is still loud, resonates and shakes, but not nearly as bad as the first shift after install.

Yea, having oil on all the threads is not great. I don't see any of it making it on to the ground strap though?

I don't understand what happens on the ECU side during a shift on an auto or DSG car. Maybe @Diggs24 has more input on that since his car is an "automatic". It seems like your car never liked adding boost up top. Since that's the case, you're probably at the limit of your stack up top on both ethanol and pump gas. You can likely continue to turn up the lower and mid range.

So would it be better to flash back to stock and just use the JB4 for the IS20 swap since we're hitting a limit?
