Anyone running the powerflex diesel (Red) insert on a non diesel have a review they care to share?

It's 55A rather than the 70A of the yellow street insert, so hoping it'll stiffen things up without too much NVH. Picked one up during the urotuning sale going on to install with my BFI stage 1 mounts.

I put it in my R. It's not as noticeable as it was at first, but there's still a small reduction in slop. There was a very very tiny increase in NVH at first, but only in reverse and it was such a small increase it wasn't even worth mentioning. There's no wheel hop to worry about, so I only did it to reduce the engine from rocking. Not really sure I would notice if it was removed though. I didn't want to do anything stiffer than that.

FWD, but I don't launch from a stop where hop would be an issue 99% of the time. Wagon is a daily and dog hauler. Just looking to stiffen up things with the BFI stage 1 mounts and not introduce too much NVH. Like that the powerflex fills the lower and upper voids.

Is a TIP worth it on a IS20 swap? Going to keep stock intake eith aFe filter, maybe upgrade the accordion inlet hose to the spuleen or similar low key silicon hose. Turbo came with an ECS turbo muffler delete already.

Looking at maybe the BMS TIP or ebay special for 30ish bucks.

Thanks guys. Going to go with the Amazon set so I don't have to deal with fleabay.

Going to pick up the 30 dollar TIP with the $40 silicone inlet hose for when I do the turbo swap.

Lol I was thinking the same exact thing. I can’t tell any difference specs-wise from the name brand stuff 🤷‍♂️

Same. On items that have no moving parts and aren't required to be structural I don't think you risk too much by not going big name.

Went with the ST RSB based on that and have no regrets. No name TIP should be fine, ebay special turbo on the other hand and I'll pass. Haha

Oh how do you like that rear sway? It’s on my long list of options.

Love it. It's a 25mm solid bar, installed moog endlinks with it. Helped with flater turns. Felt like the wagon was twisting/flexing in the front after, so I threw a euro sport front tower support bar on too. Have a euro code rear to install next to see if that helps stiffen things up.
