On my wife's Alltrack, the driver's side rear door is a bit hard to open - the door handle seems to "catch" a bit halfway and you have to pull a bit harder from that point on. It always opens but it is distinctly different from the door on the passenger side.

Any thoughts on a DIY or should we swing by the dealer?

It's under warranty so I wouldn't mess with it.

Isn't 55K miles a little soon for a RMS? I've only ever done two of them (one a Ford and one a GM), but they both had over 300k Km on them.
Kept reading that it's one of the thing that should be done while changing the clutch. I think I'm just going to buy it and let my installer decide whether it should be done or not.

Good luck. A lot of them leaked because of installer error.

On the mk6 it is a must. If you're in there you are changing the RMS because they always blow out. Mk7 is better because the PCV system was redesigned so it won't blow out as often but if I'm in there I'm still changing it out and the notion that keeps being suggested where it's impossible to install this simple part correctly and if you touch it it will have leaks is stupid as fuck. If you aren't a moron you can install the OEM RMS without leaks no problem

I don't even have the manual trans but I have read threads where the RMS was replaced and then started leaking.

Another question. Anyone got a list of bolts and part numbers needed for clutch replacement? So far I got these:
  • Throwout bearing bolts (3): N90847002
  • Front Axel bolts (2): WHT005437A
  • Dogbone/Pendulum mount bolts: N91201001, N10699401, N91167101

I don't know why I'm doing this other than boredom I guess. I won't be buying anything for a while, but is there anything I'm missing I should look at?

willing to wager all they are going to do is spray wd40 in there (at least for 1st "fix")

can anyone help me on what my problem might be with my gti, everytime I happen to give full throttle my car will misfire and throw the EPC light. I can’t figure out what to change or fix so that I can race the car without it having to misfire ?

There's many possible reasons for an EPC light. The most prevalent is a problem with the wastegate.
