I hope your coolant fan never comes on, or anything else that would cause the voltage to suddenly drop like auto headlights, otherwise you will have a dead ECU on your hands.

If you dyno in the cold you will see 0 hp gain. If you dyno in heat you will see what the car would make without heat soak. IC restores power loss due to heat soak, but doesn't actually generate more.

I only change my tune when the engine is cold so no danger of the coolant fan coming on.

Smart move. The worst I've heard was a tech in Florida. Doing a factory flash on a Beetle, and then a giant Iguana ran in the shop and ripped the battery charger off the car. I guess they like shinny things or something. The voltage drop fried the ECU. The experienced techs would tape down their chargers.

Or call an Iguana exterminator. :D

Here's a real stupid one. If I've had the incorrect amount of DSG fluid in my transmission for a year, would I have problems by now? I have about 10k miles on the car since I did the service

If I use obdeleven to reset my DSG, would it appear to VW that I had a DSG tune? Just wondering in case I ever need warranty work.

Too much or too little?

Either, really. Too little would be my main concern. I did the drain, measure, top fill method so I put in exactly how much came out, sans the amount lost to the ground/funnel. I should be within a fl. oz. or two

No, it just affects the adaptations. Normal procedure meant to be done after a DSG service.

It should be fine. The dealership techs will drain the fluid and put in 5 quarts as a rule of thumb.

Correct. I had read that the 7.5's don't have the plug (mine doesn't).
If we're talking about the tow hole in front, yeah, my 7.5 had one. Currently occupied by my plate mount

Do our cars come with a stock tow hook? As in can I find it if I lift the trunk liner and dig through the compartment where the scissor jack is?

Where? I feel stupid that I can’t find it

Mine is/was where you thought it would be, I think. Maybe was in the glove box. I can’t remember now, sorry. Don’t see a slot for it near the spare. It’s been sitting on a shelf in my garage since shortly after I bought it nearly 4 years ago. Haha
