EQT DSG tune is locked to your DSG/TCU ID. Your ID is going to be different since you have a 7.5.Still for sale? Does the DSG tune work on the 7.5?
Is this accurate? If I were to plug this into my 2016 GTI would the EQT ECU and TCU tunes be usable? The ecu tune also won't work on a different car. I wish sellers would stop advertising what tunes are loaded. They're literally useless to anyone buying the access port.
Staged tunes aren't though. Only custom.custom tunes are vin specific.
Eqt tunes are keyed to vin, cobb stage tunes add the vin during the write after reading stock tune. That's why you have to completely unload back to stock to clear.Staged tunes aren't though. Only custom.
I've read situations where a guy bought an Access Port that had been unmarried from the previous owners car and the buyer was able to use the stage tunes.Eqt tunes are keyed to vin, cobb stage tunes add the vin during the write after reading stock tune. That's why you have to completely unload back to stock to clear.
I was talking about a stage tune from EQT or whoever not the custom tunes. You are correct the custom tunes are VIN specific but I think the stage tunes are just tied to the Access Port. The Cobb stage tunes yes not 3rd party if you configure a ap on eqt they ask Vin # for custom tune
