Installed H&R Sport last weekend and loving the look. Went the 2x4 route without a hitch but make sure you have someone help you with the floor jack if you do it this way. I don't think it's safe for a one person job. And it's more like 2x2 because the passenger side doesn't have quite enough space for a 2x4. Didn't think spring compressors were necessary but I got loaners (48 hours) from O'Reillys just in case.

I usually like to do things by the book, which is to take out the axle. But I also firmly believe that the less you disassemble the less chance something will go wrong. That's about the only reason I went the 2x4 route.

Some non-standard tools you will need to do this job correctly:

Strut spreader
7mm allen key (most sets don't have this)
21mm strut nut socket (necessary to put a torque wrench on it)
