Mk7 GTI DSG problems

Hi guys! I’ve recently bought a 2013 mk7 gti dsg, it has 99k miles and the transmission is making my head spin. The dsg oil service has been done at 98k miles by the previous owner and the other day i was driving at a low speed and then i feel the whole car vibrates and i look at the dash and it says D1 then flicker and changes to D2 and back and fourth D1/D2/D1 for about a minute and then it shifts fine. The dogbone is not good, i already ordered a new one. then i was driving today and the same thing happened but only now it flickered from D4/D5/D4 and so on for about a minute too! What the hell is going on with the DSG?? Any ideas? i’m new to VW

Have you scanned for codes? there might be some stored codes from the previous owner. If not go back to VW and get them to look at it.

No codes in the car, and i got an appointment at the VW dealership it’s just such a long wait

Oil level check?
If you are going in I would just having the DSG serviced again so you know.
Change filter also.

Your version of the DSG is supposed to be serviced every 40K miles. It seems suspect that the previous owner would change it at 98K miles, right before selling it. Good luck.

No for the 3rd time i think, done by the dealership, everything is registered there

If i can remember right it was the 3rd time, always done by the dealership

In past generations flickering gear indicators were a sign of a failing mechatronic. Hopefully it’s just a potential micro switch losing signal.

With no faults being logged, I would try a complete DSG adaptation.

Flickering indicator is one of the signs that the mechatronic unit is on the fritz.
