Looks so good. Dare I say I enjoy the MK7 Golf more aesthetically than the GTI?

just fitted an accelerator response unit from dte tuning i must say i am quite impressed with it
DTE Systems developed the PedalBox in order to improve response in modern cars. The PedalBox is an additional control unit, with four user-selectable programmes, that increases throttle response by removing delays in the accelerator, enhancing driveability.

All drivers face a wide range of driving conditions and situations. The PealBox allows drivers to choose between four levels, each with three seperate modes offering improved response. The PedalBox includes different programmes tailored to meet the most drivers range of driver's wishes. The driver can select the programme most suited to the driving situation
The PedalBox allows users to choose from four power levels while the three modes allow enhanced response.
At low RPM the engine responds in roughly half the time.
Acceleration delay in third and fourth gear is equal to zero.
The housing system has a reliable EMC cover.
The PedalBox is approved in accordance with EC Directive 89/336 (electromagnetic compatibility) and has the CE marking.

The main question does it make it any faster and are the downsides of fitting one of these. How much is it and is it legal.

its not designed to make it faster if you notice on any car with a fly by wire accelerator there is always a lag on throttle response this eliminates this and it's fun to drive and as for being legal not really that bothered you only have to add an air filter or remap and you need to tell your insurance which no one does

I looked throw their website and I don't think they have one for a 1.6 TDI. I need to read more about it before I consider fitting one. But thanks for the info.
