Greeting from Romania!
i want to present my current car which is a MK7 GOLF GTI-R. It started as an Gti performance pack and had a complete 4x4 conversion with audi s3 8v and mk7 golf r parts. car is used for super slalom here in romania which is the equvalent of autox. i plan to use the car next year for time attack and track days also.
the current config of the car is :
engine and trans :
-stock CJX engine ~ 500 hp with turbosystems stage 2 turbo and supporting mods (hpfp, lpfp, fmic cai , 90mm dp with 76mm exhaust etc etc) @2 bar boost. it made 550 with e50 blend, only pump now.
-dq250 with tvs clutch packs and tcu tune
handling mods :
- bc racing coilovers with camber plates( maxed out at ~ -3 neg camber
- hr front rear swaybars(front is soft setting, rear has no settings
- powerflex handling pack
please help me with your experience in regards to what i need for track days. i know i need brake upgrade, i know i need also suspension tunning.
for tires i run r888r 225 40 18 which i had very positive experience but after almost 2 seasons i will change them for fz 201 soft 245 40 18. these will be put on some replica 18 pretorias which are 0.2kg lighter than 18 vw motorsport wheels, i switched due to 8 vs 7.5 wheel width.
next year i want to have following mods for the time attack season:
- subframe allihnment kit because it pulls to the right after sway bar swap and it has 0.5 neg camber difference between r/l
- oil cooler engine + dsg
- extra water rad
- oil catch tank
- macan 4pot bbk with dab rotors and extreme pads
