Mk7 golf 09G to 6spd manual swap.

Hi All! Seriously considering a 6 speed mt swap on my 2017 tsi wolfsburg with the 09G trans. I know mechanically everything should fit up. I know its been done converting a 5 speed to the 6 speed. Could this be done on the 09G car. New or modified manual engine harness, remove the tcu and recode to make it all work. Any insight would be appreciated. Im a pretty good mechanic, im not that good with coding but im willing to learn.

I am just getting done with a similar swap. I manual swapped a S3 with the trans out of a GTI. Mechanically its mostly the same there was a bit of funky differences. I am down to the wiring side of things now and if you have an EPB then the coding and wiring is alot harder. You will also need to wire in the clutch position sensor.

if you are really going to go for it let me know I am happy to try and walk you through some of the pit falls I got tripped up on.
