The key word is personal record/ My car record , plus in the winter where I live it’s is always a negative DA
Turns out physics matter. On board for it. But you never mentioned this personal/my car record thing you refer too.

Best I ever eeked out on a standard housing Vortex was a 9.49s on pump with a DSG. My local pump (even 93) is shit. Likely needed a driver mod lol.

Again, stoked to see your pump gas results. Get some sensors. No reason not to.

Yep waiting on some good weather, and I did not get sensors because my clutch is only rated for 400lbs of tourer so don’t want to push the clutch any more

Really? I’ve talked to guys with standards running 32-33psi at like 40ish wg. Seems like they have room for more compared to the old gen 38. I don’t think I could’ve pushed it to 35psi as it was almost maxed out.
I would say let the data guide you.

It's funny that this thread only becomes active when temps drop. I love it! I got all my issue sorted for now.🤞It's been 74-73* lows in the mornings instead of 91*. I'm excited to get some new times. I couldn't break out of the 10's last year, but managed 9's in the summer once I got a new DP. Hopefully sub 9.30's are possible. 8's would be awesome. Though I'd have to get a 5 bar and prob take out the car seats and tool box. Good luck to every this boost season! ✌️

I know it’s just a 1.8tsi Golf but figured I’d share some runs.

2017 Golf S Hatch, 1.8tsi, 6 speed auto
IS20
Unitronic Stage 2 91 octane
APR PEX intake, ECS silicone intake tube, ECS TIP
~3 gal mix E85 (tested at 90% E content)
KW V3 coilovers
18x8.5” Enkei TS9 (some runs done with slightly heavier 18x8.5” VMR v701)
Stock IC, Stock DP, Catback

This is my daily, pretty impressed by the performance from a mostly stock car, never feels dull even after driving my 500whp B5 S4 running low-mid 7s 100-200.

I think with cooler temps I can manage a 12.3-12.4 100-200, and the 1/4 runs are a joke, both runs goosing the throttle in 1st and literally spinning tire to redline all the way through 2nd gear. I have no doubt the car could manage mid-low 13s on some serious drag radials.

I've seen the logs... Lol
I've got a buddy with a fully built motor and XL who had his gate pinned not even making 32 psi to redline.

Then I'm running a TPC25 at 35psi with 40% gate left. Just because there is gate left doesn't mean you're not pushing the turbo out of it's efficiency range.

Usually the closer to sea level you are the easier your turbo can make and hold boost.

Finally the 9's!!! Was a shit run too. First part of the run was uphill and there was a gnarly bump. Either way. I'm pretty sure she has a 9.50 as it sits now 28-29 psi flat. 14* of timing, full tank, 2 car seats, etc.
