Anyone have a link to the old model with the knobs? The one linked in the OP now looks to be full touch controls.

Here are a couple. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002657173916.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.364a4b630iYtSG&algo_pvid=217e47fc-1b52-46a0-836c-c263edd99e45&algo_exp_id=217e47fc-1b52-46a0-836c-c263edd99e45-0&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id":"12000021585293770"}&pdp_pi=-1;99.95;-1;515@salePrice;USD;search-mainSearch https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001053693840.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.4d2d7b13bRCgMz&algo_pvid=16f05b1a-2562-4cc0-a861-be217c886957&algo_exp_id=16f05b1a-2562-4cc0-a861-be217c886957-24&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id":"12000021507584745"}&pdp_pi=-1;135.0;-1;-1@salePrice;USD;search-mainSearch Personally, I would just buy a NAR unit and the outer plastic piece off of eBay and then get a cable and sensors off of Aliexpress. I've seen them sold separately. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001212098968.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.153b557aC9QauI&algo_pvid=413bdda1-d783-4523-93df-d0928d440bfb&algo_exp_id=413bdda1-d783-4523-93df-d0928d440bfb-14&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id":"12000021702045543"}&pdp_pi=-1;23.58;-1;-1@salePrice;USD;search-mainSearch I like the NAR unit as I prefer the Max AC over the unusable Clean Air and was unable to connect to unit with Vagcom. I like to change settings so in winter the heat seats are always on in the last position set to as opposed to default which is off. https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/inde...ions-and-pictures.379148/page-17#post-7567605

It basically says hold the lower left and right buttons and the compressor will calibrate. If it doesn't, then turn it off and on, then try again.
yah i tried many variations of that.
Should the engine be on? i have the engine running while working on it.

im going to take it back to the shop the swapped out the panel for me. try again with him and check wiring.
If that doesnt work ill have to put the old panel in. its too hot out! crazy i never thought of 65F as too hot out but im sweating in there.

Sorry for the lack of replies, all of my golfMK7.com notifications go to my Spam folder in Hotmail and I have no idea why.

So yea, you have to have the engine running when you do the adaption, as it's adapting the internal compressor actuator vanes so it knows how much voltage it needs to apply to get the right amount of cold out of it.

If you can't get it working then you probably need to have the codes read and see if there's anything other than the **normal** codes which will be stored after doing this mod, I think there's something like 7 standard codes, maybe more, for actuators missing, sunlight sensor etc.

You should probably also check to see if the new panel has things turned on such as the air quality sensor etc, I think mine came with that option enabled. That will throw an additional code which who knows, might stop the adaption from running.

Dave.

Hi there,

I just done the upgrade a couple weeks ago but I’ve been having few problems related to the flaps and compressor sync, they are not working. I tried in both ways (pressing the buttons and VCDS as well) but still not working.

Did anyone have this problem as well?

Also, just want to check if these errors are the ones expected?

Back from the 'dead'.

Just double checking the wiring for the temp sensors. The one already attached to the loom goes to the upper vent, and the one with the loose wires that you have to add to the wiring harness connector goes to the footwell vent, correct?

Also, on my car, the "flap re-synch" procedure worked, but then I tried the "AC Run-in" cycle w/the AC & Max Demist buttons, but the lights didn't blink back and forth. I seem to have cold AC, but it's also only 40F outside, so it's hard to tell. Is there a way to do that w/OBD 11?

TIA!

Thanks. I'm still unable to tell which wire goes to which location. Maybe it doesn't matter- as long as 1 is in the upper vent, and one is in the footwell vent??
