Ouch 2 months. Could have had a set from e-acca and a zero815 harness by now. Also the install is not that hard to diy.

Шановні колеги, прошу вашої допомоги.
Маю Golf 7.5 2019 року з Америки.
Задні світлодіодні ліхтарі, які я модифікував для Європи з жовтим поворотником.
При цьому проводка і мікросхема штатні, 4 контакти.
Щоб змусити їх працювати, я замінив контакт 2 на контакт 4 і закодував відповідним чином.
Після цього права нога працює нормально, а ліва ні.
При одночасному включенні гальмівного сигналу + лівого поворотника або аварійки сигнал гальмування блимає разом з поворотом.
Це все відбувається тільки лівою ногою, права працює чудово.
Перевірив проводку, поміняв фари, нічого не допоможе.
Проблема тільки в кодуванні
2-й стовпець мав кодування, а 3-й мав НОВЕ кодування
Я прошу вашої допомоги!

VW uses "Blinken links Hellphase" (=Power ON during turn signal) and "Blinken links Dunkelphase" (=power OFF during turn signal) to get the alternating turn signal mode. Sounds like the brake light is still acting as a "turn signal", but only in power OFF mode. Please check the following line in your coding. I have seen before that coding changes are shown in OBD11 but the BCM never really accepted them. You might want to re-do the coding for Lichtfunktion C20. Just select "not active" again, and write it again.

VW використовує «Blinken links Helllphase» (=Живлення ввімкнено під час сигналу повороту) і «Blinken links Dunkelphase» (=живлення ВИМКНЕНО під час сигналу повороту), щоб отримати режим змінного сигналу повороту. Звучить так, ніби стоп-сигнал все ще діє як «сигнал повороту», але лише в режимі ВИМКНЕНО. Будь ласка, перевірте наступний рядок у вашому кодуванні. Раніше я бачив, що зміни кодування відображаються в OBD11, але BCM ніколи їх не приймав. Ви можете повторно виконати кодування для Lichtfunktion C20. Просто знову виберіть «не активний» і напишіть його ще раз.

You could set "Bremslicht" in C20, but w/ Dimmwert CD20 being 0 you won't have a brake light at all most likely.

Hey guys! I recently picked up a harness from an ebay seller in china, as I didn't feel like paying 200 dollars for the ShopDAP one. They came with very very basic instructions in Chinese and I'm just trying to figure out which pin each wire needs to go to. I have a decent understanding of everything up to this point. I've looked through several dozen pages of this thread and as it's 238 pages long, felt like it may be better asked here:

Does anybody have a simple diagram showing the connections between all 4 lights, specifically showing which pins correspond to which wires?

These are the components that were sent. I really want to be sure of the pin positions before installing as I would like to avoid ruining the header. I've gathered this info through the Chinese instructions using Google Translate. Bonus points and my eternal gratitude to anybody that can help me make sense of these instructions and prevent me from regretting going cheap on these! I would have liked to go with ZERO815's harness, but he's not currently producing them.

Right Outer: Two main headers only:

Right Inner: Two main headers, two single wires with ends to insert into (I'm assuming) the right outer harness. Final wire leads to male 3-pin header:

Left inner: Two main headers, single wire with pin, two wires with male/female 3-pin headers, respectively:

I'm trying to figure out what they mean by "T8/2" in the instructions. I do see that pin 2 on the left and right outer headers are free, so that's my best guess. Assuming that the left inner light wire runs to the left outer pin 2, right inner light wire runs to the outer right pin 2.

After that, this is my understanding:

-1 black/white wire coming from the left outer harness pin 1 (??)
-1 female 3-pin header also coming from the left outer harness pin 1 (connects to male 3 pin header on left inner unit pin 1)

-1 male 3-pin header coming from the left inner harness pin 1 (guessing this connects to the left outer female 3-pin header)
-1 female 3-pin header also coming from the left inner harness pin 1 (guessing this connects to the right inner male 3-pin header)

-1 male 3-pin header coming from the right inner harness pin 1 (guessing this connects to the left inner female 3-pin header)
-1 black/white wire coming from the right inner harness (??)

After searching all day, the two remaining items above still elude me. For the right side, I believe the wire coming from the inner pin 1 should feed to pin 1 of the right outer side. Does anybody know where the loose wire coming from pin 1 of the left outer harness should go? The pin 1 connection seems to be the common connection on all 4 lights that connects to the BCM. I've seen a diagram that mentions this connection should go to the BCM connector C pin 6. Do I really need to run this all the way up to the front of the car? How do other harnesses avoid the need to do this?


Edit: contacted the seller and he instructed me that I don't need to do anything with the pin 1 black wire coming from the left outer light. I'm not sure how that makes sense.

As far as I can see on your pictures the adapter harness is wired like this:

Unfortunately it won't work without modifications on a NA MK7.5:
- Cavity 8 (=turn signal on ROW cars) on Outer-Left and Outer-Right is not populated on NA MK7.5s. NA MK7.5s use the brake lights as turn signals.
- BCM C6 (the black/white wire from Outer-Left) is already used for the little red side markers.

And now? There is a way to use the harness on your car, but it takes some slight modifications to the harness. Furthermore you have to connect the black/white wire from Outer-Left to the 12V outlet in the trunk (make sure you switch over the outlet fuse to permanent 12V). If you don't connect the the wire to 12V you won't have rolling turn signals. To finish the project you have to do some coding as well. Here is how the modified harness should look like:

I really appreciate the info ZERO815, your input in the past few years has been a huge help throughout this processs. Going to try to modify this myself, but ultimately got a refund from the seller due to the incompatibility. If I can't figure it out myself I'll just go with the ShopDAP harness.

Update in case anybody runs into this in the future: DON'T GO CHEAP. I really thought that these would all be the same, and I was wrong. The eBay version was completely incompatible with 2018+ cars (even though it was advertised as such) and the seller didn't speak good enough English/didn't have the coding knowledge to help. Luckily they were very nice and refunded my whole order, and I just installed the USP Motorsports harness yesterday. It is much better in terms of build quality, and the dynamic signals work now!

Thanks again to ZERO815 and the past few years of comments on here for getting me across this finish line with this pain in the ass of a project :)

Luckily they were very nice and refunded my whole order, and I just installed the USP Motorsports harness yesterday. It is much better in terms of build quality, and the dynamic signals work now!

Thanks again to ZERO815 and the past few years of comments on here for getting me across this finish line with this pain in the ass of a project :)
It is likely it would have worked with some repinning and coding but it is hard when you don’t know the layout. Less hassle with oem because you know it will work out of the box.

Yeah, I'm sure I could have figured it out with some effort but the harness itself was pretty low-quality so I didn't feel that it was worth it. Seller gave a full refund and the RFB harness from USP Motorsports is way nicer (fabric covers on the wiring, much less extra length to stuff away, etc). For anybody considering this in the future, the RFB harness is fantastic and their coding allows for the dynamic sweeping signals without the red flashing light, which I was not expecting.

Why didn't you go with the harness ZERO815 sells?

I need help, i have oem mk7.5 euro tailights in a mk7 R. I also have dual rear fog lights.I bought a wiring harness from ali express but didn't come with coding instructions. Lights work normally like "plug and play with no coding
