Hi,

I drive a 2019 GTI and I bought it without the lighting package and am still using the factory halogens. I really want to upgrade to the sequential/led headlights - for cosmetic and nighttime performance/vision. I got quoted nearly $3000 by a VW dealer for just the housings - not including bulbs or ballasts, and am wondering if anyone here knows some reputable and well done headlights for a price not as significant as VW's quote. I have been looking into the FAS tuning LR Reps at https://www.fastuningstore.com/coll...i-style-led-headlights-2018-vw-mk7-5-golf-gti but have not seen any reviews.

BMP offers something similar as well, their color temp is a little higher and they come ceramic coated. I've heard good things about them.

I know people on here had the fas tuning ones and I haven't heard anything bad about them.

I have the ed's replicas and they are junk, light pattern is terrible and the housing is peeling some sort of clear coat. I am guessing all the replicas are probably the same ones or basically the same from China.

I would get the Osram one's based on what I have read, there is a long forum thread on them. They are more expensive, think around low 1k after shipping. I just don't drive enough at night to justify the cost since I already have replicas.

Osram's are great. Going on two years on my wife's Mk7.5 and they've been terrific with zero issues.

For that much may as well get a set of the European full dynamic ones with clear corners.

Do you have idea the cost or work involved?
There is a post on here in the diy section. If you have the led lights that bend I believe it is like $1700 for the housings and then you have to flash the headlight and control modules with the right firmware/parameters and do some coding in vcds. You need odis or vag can pro to flash the modules though.

Where do you get the Osram ones? All links to them seem to be informational only.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the FAS Tuning ones - they are cheaper than the BMP, and BEC doesn't seem to exist anymore. But I'd consider paying extra for something of that quality, I just don't know how to find it.

Bonus question - can we get the Osram ones with EV style blue striping? I got the BEC ones with GTI style red striping. As you can see, the color mismatch is just too much.
