Mk7.5 Golf R headlights in a Mk7.5 GTI?

I am wondering if Mk7.5 R headlights will plug and play into a Mk7.5 GTI with the lighting package. A lot of you might disagree but I personally don't like the red stripes in the headlights/grille. I don't think these headlights are easily opened so I think my best option is to swap them with R headlights (also would like to keep Auto leveling/cornering lights).

They certainly are not easy to open. Then to get all the pieces out to paint and put back together cleanly is another nightmare. I don't see why the r lights wouldn't be pnp. Be sure to list your stock ones on here cuz they'll go like hot cakes.
