So my first Volkswagen was a used 2011 Carbon Steel Grey 2-Door had about 20k miles when I first got it back in 2013. Fast forward 3 years I met my significant other and decided that we needed something with 4-Doors. At the time I was in the market looking at the newer Subaru WRX. At first I was really bent on getting the WRX, then when out of nowhere Volkswagen decided to release the Sport Trim. I heard good nothing but good things about the Sport Trim. So I decided to check it at Norm Reeves Volkswagen. I test drove a Pure White 6 speed model and wow it was something else. My first GTI wasn't too modded basic bolt-ons and APR stage 2. However the newer MK7 was a whole new beast especially with the bigger break calipers and Limited Slip Differential. After the test drive I talked to my fiance about it (she was with me at the time of the test drive) and she said she also loved the car. So I told the internet manager that I would think about it and shop around. Fast forward to black Friday we made up our mind and decided to go get it. When we got there unfortunately they told us the Pure White had been sold a day before Thanksgiving but they still had a Carbon Steel Grey and a Night Blue. I decided to check out the Night Blue since I didn't want another Carbon Steel Grey. The salesman pulled out the Night Blue and I was amazed on how nice it actually looked. After checking out it we finally did all the paper work and valued the trade of my other car ($8,000) for the value. All in all I was able to get a selling price of $24,208+tax+fees. So here we are now with the 2017 GTI currently sitting at 350 miles (still breaking/babying her) down the line I'm hoping to add a few performance mods and interior/exterior OEM+ goodies.

Looks awesome!

I got my Night blue '16 SE in September from Norm Reeves as well so you must be close to me. Didn't manage to get as good a deal as you though! Where did you get your tints done?

The mods I've done so far include 034 dogbone mount insert, OEM short shifter, aFe dry filter and other mostly cosmetic mods (decals, DeAutoKey LEDs, OBD Eleven, aspherical mirrors).

I got the tints done at Tint Plus over in Lake Forest, I would recommend you go for 30/15.

December 23, 2016. My AWE Track Exhaust finally came in! I chose to go with the Diamond Tips as I thought it added a nice touch to the Night Blue. Unfortunately I will not be able to install it on the car as it is Holiday weekend. Shout out to UROtuning where I purchased it, wonderful customer support.

January 20, 2017 currently 1807 miles. Intake came! Going to install this Saturday.

I am eyeballing this intake big time. What was your impressions on the quality of the filter? Also, I see you have the secondary filter hose. When you unplugged that, the little rubber hose next to it that plugs into the airbox, does that also have a place to plug into the R600?

What were your impressions on the induction/DV and turbo sound post-install? Close to stock, or is it any louder?

Filter quality was pretty top notch. It was not too soft and not too hard. Pretty firm in my opinion. The little rubber hose has a place that fits onto the back of the actual air filter. I would say you can hear the turbo more and hear the DV a lot more however, its not obnoxiously loud.

Sound Clip for those interested.
