If you slightly bend a valve it will eventually break off at the stem, destroy the associated piston and rod, destroy the block, destroy the head, then take out the turbo as pieces exit the motor.
Not always. Had a friend that ran for like 3 months on a bent valve before we fixed it.
If it was bent though, you'd know by the exhaust sound usually immediately
You can always check VCDS for over-rev flag, that may be of some indication if you're liable to have damage.

I've heard that line beforeI have an appointment with my local APR VW/Audi private mechanic shop on Thursday. Asked for compression test and pull any codes via vagcom. 3 times, It will be peace of mind knowing everything is okay and I'm gonna drive like grandma from now onI will update on the outcome
That hiccup is pretty common.
I think that by reacting fast enough you saved the day [emoji4]

It almost like getting struck by lightning 3 times and living to tell about it .
All is swell with the gti, compression was good on every cylinder. They did find over rev codes, a cam code and a few other mis-communication codes - they weren't sure if those where due to the tune.
They cleared all codes and test drove, nothing popped up again. I'm just happy everything is okay mechanically. Phew !!![]()
See, like I said you were more than likely fine, but I guess better to have it looked at and get the reassurance that it's all good.
