Looks like Michelin wanted a tire legal for street tire classes since the PSC2 has a 180TW rating and these have a 240TW (PS4S are 300TW). Stupidly expensive though at $380/ea in my size, versus $313 for the PSC2 and $252 for the PS4S.

This is timely. I am going to give the Cup 2's a try once I get back to the track this season. I've run SS, PS4S, & RE71 in the past. I use the car as a DD as well as tracking (the DD knocked the RE71's out) and had settled on the PS4's. As you say, these are right in the middle, but I've heard nothing about them before your post. Looks like it could be the perfect fir for DD/track but they are priced really high.

Right now at 225/40/18 the PS4/Cup2/Cup2Connect $194/$229/$270 at TireRack That's around $300/set over the PS4's for just a little better traction on track and shorter treadwear.

I put a set of PS4S took them off the very next day no where as direct as my Pzero's, I did order some PSC2's instead. FYI the difference between the N0 spec and standard is the N0 has no rim guard looks like a Pirelli Trofeo R mounted and the logos are larger.
