MIB2 Infotainment firmware update question

Posted previously and just getting to this now. Going from MST2_US_VW_PQ_P0359T to MST2_US_VW_PQ_P0478T to try to fix an issue. Issue is that when I plug in my phone, everything works. But about 15 seconds in the touch screen goes dead as do all the buttons around it. I have to hold in the power button to fully reboot the system for everything to continue working. I have to do this every time I get in the car. Problem is, when I do the update I get a screen that says the meta-info file could not be read dependencies of update not met.
Can you assist?

Hi all, I’m facing some issues with my system. The CarPlay connection doesn’t always work. I decided to update my system, but found out that the train version is empty.
In the logs I did find a version. When I try to update to 254T based on this log, I get an error 15: file access. Can not find the correct medium.
Anyone has these issues and know how to fix them? Thanks!
Edit: I managed to resolve the issue and update successfully. For people experiencing the same issue: I expect my usb port to be faulty (hence the CarPlay connection sometimes fails) and thus the update failed. I bought an SD card and was able to update the system using this.

Hi all,
I am trying to update my MIB1 - This is still running factory firmware from 2013. I have used MIB-Helper.com and it says the latest version i can go to is:
MSTD_EU_VW_P5301
However when i click on the download links i don't think the firmware is avaialble anymore. Can anyone provide me with a working link please? - I need to do the firmware upgrade because i am having audio disconneccts on my iPhone and have had this for quite some time, every since i updated to iOS15..

Update: the search feature on mibsolution.one wasn’t working on my phone. Went on to my Mac and was able to find the firmware. It was in a different folder than expected. Just finished the update. I did have the message after the update saying: start diagnostic tester: main unit/version comparison accepting the error code leads to a restart, I’ve checked you have to enter the code from Mosul F5. I just clicked cancel and it took me back to the head hit menu, I completed a hard reset, checked the version numbers and went around the menus, all seems good, let’s hope this solves the audio issues I was having. I also updated my maps to the latest while I was there.

Ive recently had an issue where my MIB2 keeps locking up and I'm having to hold the power button for 10 seconds to re-boot. This issue started around 2 weeks ago and has got more frequent over the past couple of days. Ive now lost all functionality (except audio) - Bluetooth isnt working, nav isnt working, App Connect etc etc. All of the FEC codes are showing as invalid which I guess may be due to the restarts corrupting data?
Is my only option to go to VW for a restore or to go to a 3rd party coding company? I've been recommended a company in Yorkshire who can re-enable the functions and I guess this would be more cost effective.
Also has anyone else experienced a lot of freezing on their MIB2? I'm wondering if its a hardware issue.

@philbeardmore Sometimes this happens when you are experiencing hardware failure. Sometimes it can just be because the unit "forgets". Everything you have mentioned including bluetooth is an FEC which makes sense on why you have lost them all. I can try help you?

"Medium: Train is blocked (MainUnit: MHIG_EU_VW_S1538_1 )"
At the moment I have the firmware its MHIG_EU_VW_S1538_1 and after going to the MIB Help page it appeared that the latest version was
MHIG_EU_VW_K1550 (MU: 0407, details).
Every time I update I get this error.
