Hi everyone (new member!) ...
The last few months a have had an issue with the infotainment unit in my 2016 Golf R in Canada. Blue tooth, maps, apple car play all no longer work saying either not available or I need to contact the dealer for an activation key. Dealer not surprisingly has not been helpful (told me I need a new head unit) but it doesn't appear they attempted to reinstall the firmware (just checked if eligible for an update which it wasn't so I don't think did anything).
Here is my software chain: MHI2_US_VWG11_S2126_1
I have used http://mib-helper.com/ to help identify the best firmware file to download which it identifies as MHI2_US_VWG11_P3261.
However, I cannot find this file on https://mibsolution.one/. The closest I can find is MIH2_US_VWG13_P3659_2_MU1126
My question is whether or not I will be able successfully update to this firmware version or if anyone has any ideas where I might be able to find the firmware update suggested by mib-helper.
