Yes and I’ve tried absolutely everything methodically. So frustrating! I see I wrote the iOS wrong before, but yes 17.2.1
I had assumed the infotainment needed updating to support the iOS, but the problem seems to be the iOS itself. The same phone and set up worked just fine before
So before I get too far, I use AA and not Carplay, and my similar issue happened when I went to MIB 2.5 but...

I used AA for years, several phones/cables and even a couple different MIB 2 units with no issues. I went to MIB 2.5 (at the same time as upgrading to a new phone, coincidentally) and all of the sudden AA would not work. The unit would recognize a capable devices was plugged in, but I would select AA and most times I would get "connection cancelled" almost immediately. Sometimes I would get AA for a few minutes, maybe even a song or two if I was really lucky. I bought several cables, tried other phones, replaced the USB port, etc.

In the end, the harness between my MIB and USB port had to be replaced. I will grant that I remove my MIB and center console more often then most. But it seemed at some point I had jacked up the harness. Oddly enough CarPlay continued to work fine, but of course YMMV. Replaced the cable and have not had a single connection since, at least a year now, if not more.

I have an MIB2 STD Delphi 2GM 035 844 A
Train Version: MST2_US_VW_P0120D and I need to get to 876B or 876C minimum. I Installed the AID digital cockpit (all working 100%) but I want to be able to use the Car setting menu to change the gauges that sit inside the 2 clocks. (Active info display menu settings)

Helper suggests I can do it, but is this a big risk or a simple upgrade. Just follow the regular update instructions and will be OK?

Assuming you installed the AID1, the only configurations that can be had inside the Tachometer and the Speedometer are the options in the AID configuration menu (i.e., navigation, avg mpg/range, etc.). That menu is built into the AID. You cannot further configure the options that are preset, as far as I know. The AID2 in the MK2 Tiguan and the MK1/1.5 Atlas are more configurable in the way that you're requesting.

Are you saying you got this in a Golf? That would be news, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.
This is in My Atlas, I may do the GTI next. Unfortunately, little to no one does this kind of stuff in the Atlas community so I have to look to the Golf and Tig forums for help. Having done the MIB2 swap in my GTI has helped me understand a little. These are the clocks I used, I was very lucky to pick them up NEW & cheap from another Atlas owner.

Generally speaking, large software train changes are not recommended. Certain jumps are possible, but it comes down to specific hardware on the board and whatnot. As far as your question goes, whilst I don't have specific experience with 2GM units, I think attempting to jump to the P08XXD software train would be risky.

There is some information on Drive2 about these units (it would require soldering and the instructions are not quite what you would need since they are converting a North American unit to a European unit). Not endorsed or verified by me and you may end up with a brick if you go down the path they discuss. Seems fairly involved and a bit risky to me.

Hi everyone!

I have a 2016 e-Golf, and I'm trying to update the firmware on the MIB2 unit using manuals mostly found here, but I can't identify which update version I have to download from mibsolutions.one
My current SW version:

MHI2_ER_VWG11_S2125_1 (0343)

Available downloads for MHI2:

Which one should I choose?

Thanks!

@Narzis Is there something you are trying to fix by updating the firmware? If you are not having any problems it's not worth the trouble of updating. Later software might have a bug that is a problem for you.

The car is a 2016 e-golf, i think it never got any software updates. The SW is very slow compared to any other mib 2 high I've seen before, maybe an update can solve this. Other than that, I have no issues currently. The lag is what really kills me.
