Yea, leave it alone and get familiar with how it handles stock. Then address deficiencies where needed. I've never understood immediately modifying cars when you don't have a proper baseline. The MX-5 is so good stock, you may not have to do a thing.

Other than dat LS swap that is.

A high flow air filter and an exhaust would really help it out, but making power on a naturally aspirated motor is an almost futile attempt.

Reported, for ripping off my avatar :mad0259:

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, it handles really well out of the box.

Mang, I had that avi with the white car, that I modded for the mustang, and now the GTI. Just not in THIS board....details.

Ok, first mod should be worth a shit tires, because that WILL help you identify the gremlins that you want to work out. Those cars respond very will to alignment tweaks too.

Deets, fine you can keep the avi

It had Potenza G019's on it now. They're a decent tire, and still have a lot of tread left on them.

An alignment may not be a bad idea, know of a good place to go besides the dealer?

Allied does ok, but no, not really. Got fed up enough with paying money for wrong shit that I just do them myself.

There are a lot of different alignment specs online (at least for NAs) depending on what you're after (best tire wear, auto-x, track, etc.) So I'd find a place that will align to custom specs.

This post got me building a Mazda over at their site; a club edition in grey with 2k down payments would be 320 a month...not bad and it looks great
