Mechanic in MD that does DSG and LSD Service?

I've called a few mechanics in my area and everyone has said they don't do transmission or differential service on GTI's. Does that mean I have to go to the dealer to get it done or should I keep shopping around? One of the places tried to charge me $400 for spark plugs.

Depends on where you are, but if you're closer to DC I highly recommend Wheaton Service Center in Silver Spring. They exclusively work on VWs, I just had my diff service done there last week. Guy who runs it (Tom) is a VW nut, nothing but good experience there (and fair prices.) NGP quoted me almost $700 for 20k service + the differential, WSC did it for $400.

APTuning in Lebanon PA is also worth reaching out to. Local VW dealer quoted me $400 to do it AND was very hesitant on touching it at all, which made me not really want them touching the car at all.

I have had trouble getting a dealer out here to do a mechtronic unit. They all just want to replace the transmission.
