Maxton Designs Rear Valence Installation Question

Hey folks.

I am purchased a Maxton Designs rear valance to match my quad tail pipe exhaust upgrade on my 1.4TSi.

However, when removing the stock TSi valence, I realised that it secured to the bumper with clips. The Maxton valence, however comes with self-adhesive tape and self tapping screws. The maxton instructions are not helpful either.

If anyone has installed this valence, please share your experience. Thank you.

I’ll be installing the Mk7.5 Golf R v.3 rear valance soon, so very curious to see how your install goes.

Have you contacted Maxton to ask them? Their responsiveness and communication was really great when I contacted them with some fitment questions prior to purchase.

Update: Had a very reputable local shop try to install this piece of crap. Not even REMOTELY close to fitting…so much for being a straight OEM replacement.

I’m going to see what Maxton USA has to say (benefit of the doubt, maybe just a bad one), but don’t waste your money on this.

That is exactly why I will never buy anything from Maxton ever again. Their products aren't the best and quality is horrible. I bought a Maxton Lip for my B7 S4 last year and didn't even last 2 weeks...

Stick with the better product like aerofabb. Hands down the best and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Yeah - live and learn. Tried to save some $ and got a reminder in ‘you get what you pay for’.

I’ll probably either stick with stock or go with the iSWEEP rear valance.
