Manual GTD goes to reverse too easy

Evening All,
I've noticed recently that from neutral my manual gearshift goes in to reverse far too easily.
This was not the case from new, the car has now done 13.5k miles.
For a while I've always been selecting first gear twice to make sure it's in ok because the first attempt doesn't feel that convincing or it has actually selected reverse. Then on Friday evening on the way home from work I went to move off from a hill start and it had selected reverse and I actually went backwards a little as I pressed the gas.
I'm not happy with it and am going to book it in to the dealer to investigate.
I've also noticed the gear box feels a bit more 'gooey' than it used to.
Has anyone else experienced this ?

That's a new one on me.. Keep us posted how you get on. I agree you can engage it easily, but only if pressed down.

Mine has covered 23k now, with zero gearbox issues.

I'm generally unhappy with how the gearbox feels at the moment and so hopefully I can get it sorted
