Maestro DIY Tuning Help

Okay, I know this thread is dead, but maestro was the easiest route to self tune for me since I've had their dongle/tune for some time just by happenstance so upgrading to maestro was easy.

Upgraded my hpfp.

Trying to run e85 on a is20. Runs out of injector and fall into a soft limp/boost/timing at 5800 rpm. The soft limp lasts about 20 seconds regardless of gear or rpm, then the car will try again, goes great till it runs of of injector at 5800 again.

Runs fine on e40-e50ish. But I don't want to blend, have access to e85 that is consistently 80+% ethanol.

Can I up fuel rail pressure to compensate? Haven't messed with injector window, but I'm not sure there is any window left to mess with in the first place?

Edit: to say it is also pulls just fine if I baby it up past 5900 then floor it.

Afr always matches request

Also just realized this is a golf r thread. This is a gti. I will post in the GTI section.
could it be your lpfp is running out? What's its duty cycle?

has capability to log and provide logs for analysis. does neither. fail
TBH I am off the road for 60 more days after a seizure a month ago. Now I'm bored and trying to do something car related while I wait.

This was happening back in July, August and September. Was back and forth between e60-e80is (doesn't work), e40-50ish (works fine), and straight 93 since October. I have a bunch of logs (like easily 1000), all unorganized and impossible to keep track of because I wasn't diligent about organizing. I couldn't be sure which ones are which fuel. I'll open some up and check for one's where the boost cuts at 5800. But that could be a log of 60% or up to 82%

If anyone threw out a common issue/suggested solution I was just going to write a tune revision for each suggestion and eventually try them each out once I can drive again. I did see where someone had a similar issue at the same RPM range, but never posted what the issue ended up being. I believe diggs' response to them was something along the lines of "woah, you went super lean at 5800, surprised you didn't melt a piston". My car didn't go lean though so not sure it's the same.

Give me a couple months and I'll be back with fresh logs and a 100% accurate ethanol percentage number.
If I don't just decide to go MPI in the meantime.

MPI won't help if your lpfp can't keep up tho

hope you're doing better

Haha it's going alright. Complications from a stroke a year ago. It is what it is. Not dead and still just as dumb :p Amberlamps selfie!

Edit: Also, do people generally see LPFP headroom issues on an IS20? I thought not, but then again information is hard to comeby.

your issue probably isnt the lpfp at the top. you're gonna be dropping rail pressure like crazy down low on e85 because of the hpfp.

limit to e30, and even then, you need to limit boost down low to keep rail pressure happy, depending how ballsy you want to be.
