Machine Polishing windscreen

Hey guys,

I'm about to polish and seal my GTI, I've got a DA Polisher and am using Menzerna Medium pad yellow and Menzerna Polish 2500PF.

Does anyone know if I can use this polish safely on the windscreen as well because it needs some light scratches removed as well or should I get a glass specific polish and pad?

You could try it, depending on how light the scratches are.

A specific pad and glass polish containing cerium oxide might give you quicker results as glass polishing, especially windscreens, is a time consuming job.

You have to take care not to get the glass too hot because there is a layer of plastic in the windscreen.

Have a look on the net and especially detailing forums for more advice.

My advise, would be to leave the glass alone.
