Driving along the road the other day and a big bus was coming the other way.
It was quite tight but as i was driving i brushed against some branches twigs that was sticking out into the road.
A nice faint white line all the way down the one side of my car.
I polished it and tried some scratch remover.
It helped but still a faint line.
Im taking it down to a friend tomoz who ownes a workshop.
He said he can machine mop it out and that it isnt deep which i was pleased with.
Will you tell if he only does the one side that its been done and will it thin the paint if you machine mop your car.?.
Hes only gonna charge me 25 quid to do it.???

Unless he's a very close friend, I think he's only doing the area where the scratch is. That's only about $36 USD, and no shop here will do an entire car for that.

If it can be buffed out that easily it's most likely only the clear coat that's scratched. It WILL thin out the topmost layer of clear/paint but your only other choice is to do nothing. Keep it waxed or sealed.

Yeah hes only doing the area which is scratched.
Im just wondering if you would be able to tell that hes only done one side.
Would it make the paint lighter on the one side?.
