Anyone have knowledge of both of these callipers with Pros & Cons for each.

Thinking of either of these rather then S3 / TTRS callipers as they are both a direct fit without the need to pay for adapter hangers.

I have the TT-S setup and a huge pro for me is being able to run my 17" winter setup with them. A con would definitely be the lack of pad options, right now afaik only iSweep, OEM, and G-Loc make pads for them. Paul at ShopDAP did say that EBC will be coming out with some TT-S pads at some point.

My understanding is that the TTS still requires you to remove the caliper to swap pads.

I don't think either have a ton of pad options though, but I could be wrong.

What are you planning on using them for? Just street?

Just street really. I do love a bit of brake porn ... but on a budget. ?

I am planning a trip to 'The Ring' though and would like to make sure my brakes are up to the task.
I just have braided lines and performance fluid at the moment.

That's correct. DAP has a video on swapping the PP brakes for the TTS calipers. They don't top load like most fixed piston calipers.

Not a big deal if you're not swapping pads on a regular basis for track days.

I'm interested in both these options, mostly for the bling and weight savings, and also because it's pretty economical when you factor in flipping the OE PP brakes.

For street, get the one that looks the best and fits your budget then. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Most sport pad companies seem to be having trouble producing the plate needed for these pads. I reached out to several, and they all seemed to want an existing pad to make one.
That's pretty common that they ask for a set of pads to use as a template.

I get the impression it's more complicated than that. Even companies that do that all the time haven't with these ones. The response I got from Carbotech, for example, was:

That is the uniquely shaped front pad that we cannot yet get, and honestly, may never be able to. We have a part number and pricing but all of the builds to date have been with customer supplied backing plates. Can you send the an old set to us to use to make them? If so, I can get you pricing before you send them off to us.*

Is there a definitive answer to whether the Macan rear 2.0 or the Macan rear 3.0 are the correct callipers?
I'm sure on here someone stated you needed to use the 3.0 but on the R Facebook group a member there stated the 2.0 were correct.
