2015 mk7 GTI
low oil pressure light came on the other day at red light… then disappears when rpm is over 1100. Took car to shop tested oil pressure reading 5psi at idle when warm and spec over 2000rpm. Dropped oil pan no clogged intake screen a few metal flakes in oil pan. Sensor tested fine as well.
The shop is at a loss and recommends pulling the motors. I’m trying to think if there’s anything else to check before doing so, car runs fine and no issues when cold, once it heats up after 10-15 mins low pressure light comes on at idle.
When the low oil pressure light is on and I Back my car into my garage (slightest incline) the light disappears.
could it possible be the oil check value? Or pump causing this.
