I would just like to introduce the L520 to the USA market:

Basically this is the same as our L500 which has been making 500bhp at below 2bar in the UK but with our new 56mm turbine wheel.

We are currently still testing this unit in the UK and initially it is doing well but not fully pushed.

We believe this currently the largest stock framed IS38 hybrid available ( stock framed being IS38 core based not TD06)

It uses the same 54.5mm compressor used in the L500 but now has the larger 9 bladed 56mm compressor wheel

We are using reduced clearances on these to gain back spool due to the larger compressor wheel but it is also a much lighter wheel.

Most importantly we are using the upgraded thrust bearings pack. This pack was developed in house to be able to run the stock IS38 bearing housing and still have the reliability of other turbos. This has now been proven over the last 12 months to be one of the most reliable IS38 bearings on the market and we have tested close to 2.6bar and sustained 2.4bar

All these units, as with all our turbo's are assembled by us and VSR balanced by us to a much higher standard than found on OE units.

These will be complete units with actuators and DV's

Price is £2000 +shipping and taxes.

Dan,

Relative to the spool on the L450, how much later is this new turbo?

Are you planning to phase out the L500 or keep both options on the market?

So we see the L450 make 2bar by 3200rpm and this one is nearer 3800rpm.

As for the L500, I will wait and see how these perform and where the overlap is on them.

L560 is a ball bearing CHRA, 7 blade comp., 9 blade turbine, 55mm comp. inducer?

Comparable to the TTE555?
