LED Tail light problem on UK GTI

Hi guys,



I've recently noticed the tail lights on my UK GTI don't seem to look right:



See picture (second pic is taken from another website as an example)



From what I understand, the "C-shape" should be full like the one in the second picture? My bi indicator led doesn't seem to be lighting up anymore- They do work when braking but not for side lights? It's really annoying me as I can't seem to figure out what's causing this and I'm super OCD.



I've used VCDS earlier this year to enable the inner tail lights as brake lights etc so not sure if that might've done something? Please can someone help and point me in the right direction?

It was easier to just show a picture of it that I found online. Yep still got warranty. I reckon it's one of the adaption settings but can't figure out what is causing it.

The same issue is experienced by installing the dynamic blinker harness. The 2 red LEDs under the blinkers are not turning on anymore. Aparently there is a wire missing from the harness.

Attempted to troubleshoot it tonight and have discovered it lights up perfectly when the switch is on the side lights/parking lights but not on auto.

I think its the settings that I changed that were supposed to be for incandescent lights but I had LED and when I reverted back the setting to 'default' I must've selected the wrong one. Going to test this again tomorrow! Have a good feeling this is the culprit!
