Launch Ctrl on TSI

Hey all,

A while back I was messing with my brother’s OBD11 and did a few things, needle sweep, mirror dip, seat belt dinger, probably a few other things, and apparently I enabled launch control or my car had it? It a ‘16 TSI 5MT, so I’m thinking it didn’t have it. My question is how do I get it to work with the ASR “off”? It only works with it on…

Do you mean it doesn't rev past 4k rpm when in neutral at idle? That's not launch control (I've tried using as launch control before and it just bogged), I think it's a safety built into the computer, and it's probably always been there. My Mk6 golf had this too.

I'm saying when the car is in 1st gear with the clutch pressed in and the ASR is on, it revs to 4k and then when you drop the clutch you just get a few chirps and ASR and then it goes, but with the ASR in off mode, car in 1st gear clutch in, the car will rev to redline.
